Boehringer Ingelheim believes in the principles and underlying ideas of
Responsible Care®. To promote the sense of responsibility at our sites we ask our operating units to develop individual programmes to improve environmental protection.
The quality and the results of these programmes are examined regularly by corporate headquarters.
Activities in the past five years have shown local results in:
- Reduction of solvent emissions
- Improvement of carbon dioxide balance
- Increased energy efficiency
- Innovative wastewater treatment.
