Our expectations to suppliers and contractors
Our EHS management system guarantees that all Boehringer Ingelheim sites satisfy certain requirements and make constant improvements.
When choosing our business partners, we consider their EHS standards, too.
Our expectations to our business partners are for example:
- In terms of EHS we require that minimum requirements are met in order to follow our principles for safety, quality and environmental protection and to ultimately ensure the continuity of our own business.
Therefore, we increasingly check EHS aspects as well as social aspects during qualification of suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- We expect from the contractors that work at our sites to fulfil a high standard regarding EHS issues. To ensure this standard, a corporate procedure on contractor safety describes minimum requirements, for example, the selection, introduction and supervision of contractors. Companies which do not fulfil our requirements are not allowed to work on our sites or to put our employees and themselves at risk.
