| Principles for Safety,
Quality and Environmental Protection
Boehringer Ingelheim's first Environmental Protection and Safety
Principles were published in 1992. Since then they have been revised
several times to reflect the company's resolve to continuously
improve as well as its commitment to voluntary initiatives such as
Responsible Care® and Sustainable Development.
Early in 2001, Boehringer Ingelheim's Principles for Environmental
Protection and Safety were reviewed and combined with the Quality
Assurance Policy into the Principles for Safety, Quality and
Environmental Protection, which were endorsed by the Board
of Managing Directors. These have become binding for all the
sites of the Boehringer Ingelheim group of companies worldwide.
